Love Bible Study
Love Bible Study will begin a new series on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 entitled "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed: A Study of David."

Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and Kay Arthur focus on the life of David at a different stage of his life: as a young man, as a middle-aged man, and as a man facing the final third of his life.

David was anointed but he made mistakes. And though he was redeemed—he grappled with the choices he made. He was transformed—and we can be, too.

Sunday School
Sunday School classes will begin on September 14. Kick-off Sunday is scheduled for September 7 with "Worship in the Park" followed by a carnival, fun, games and food. The kids will lead us in music with the songs they learned during VBS.

Please check out the sign-up sheet in the church lobby. There are many openings for teachers.

We need you!
We have positions open just for YOU!  We have a variety of ways you can be involved!  Here are some just to name a few:

Children & Worship & Wonder
Children & Worship & Wonder offers an exciting way to approach faith formation with children. Through Children & Worship & Wonder, children learn about God as they experience God. They hear Bible stories in a way that allows them to enter into the stories and form responses out of their own life experiences.

We will begin this program at First on September 14 during both services.

An orientation for ALL children (3 yrs - 3rd grade) and their parents will be held on September 3 at 7 PM.

Listen to the worship service
If you are sick or a shut-in, you can now join us for Sunday’s worship services through conference calling. You may call 990-6338 and when the prompts ask you for the attendee number, enter 13201 and you will be able to listen to the entire service. (either 1st or 2nd). We also have speaker phones available for you, so that you won’t have to hold the receiver during the service. Contact the office if you have questions.
